Service — Editorial Strategy

Is your content built on a strategy or on gut feel?

We build a documented editorial strategy that your whole team can read, understand, and execute — grounded in your real audience and business goals.

Strategy is the foundation every content system needs

Without a documented strategy, every content decision becomes an argument or a guess. Who are you writing for? What formats work? Which topics are in scope? These questions slow teams down when they're not already answered. Terravswift's editorial strategy service produces a single reference document your team will actually use — audience personas grounded in Kenyan market realities, a topic cluster map aligned to your SEO and conversion goals, a content-type matrix (blog, social, email, video) matched to each stage of your buyer's journey, and a 90-day editorial calendar to launch from. We conduct stakeholder interviews, review existing content performance, and benchmark two or three local competitors before we write a single recommendation. The deliverable is practical, not theoretical: a strategy your marketing coordinator can open on Monday morning and know exactly what to write.

What the strategy engagement delivers

Audience persona set

Two to four documented personas reflecting the real decision-makers and influencers your business reaches — based on interviews and existing data, not assumptions.

Topic cluster map

A structured map of pillar topics and supporting content tied to keyword opportunity and your sales funnel — so every article has a strategic reason to exist.

90-day editorial calendar

A ready-to-execute calendar with titles, formats, target personas, and assigned owners for 90 days of content — the launchpad your team needs to build the habit.

Content brief template

A standardised brief format that writers can fill in five minutes and editors can review in ten — cutting the back-and-forth that delays every piece.

How the strategy process works

The engagement runs over three weeks. Week one is discovery: we interview up to four stakeholders, audit your existing content against traffic and conversion data, and map the competitive landscape. Week two is synthesis: we build the persona set and topic cluster map and share a draft for your team's feedback. Week three is delivery: we finalise the editorial calendar and brief template, walk your team through every section, and hand over editable files in Google Workspace or Notion — whichever you already use. We do not manage ongoing strategy for you after handoff; this is a capability-transfer engagement. Your team will own it.

“We'd been publishing blog posts for two years and couldn't tell you what any of them were actually for. The strategy session with Terravswift gave us a map we still use every sprint planning. It changed how the whole team thinks about what we publish.”
